One of our Community Managers, Alex Pashby, recently shared his views on community management within the corporate structure with Communicate Magazine.
Community management offerings are developing now, along with increasing interest on behalf of brands in social media optimisation, and how data can be gathered and used. We’re starting to see content being tweaked to fit analytics: from small things such as changing the times of day you tweet, to bigger changes like changing content types based on algorithms that calculate how receptive people are to certain things. This is strategic, detailed work – so it’s great to get in young people who are enthusiastic and adaptive, but after that you need to concentrate on the strategy behind the community.
