I'm a fan of infographics. They make facts fashionable, and there's one for just about everything - but sometimes I can't help but wonder whether such an elaborate delivery can undercut the information being shared.

Which is why, whilst having a peruse over at The Wall blog, I was delighted to come across this hand drawn infographic from When The What?, timelining the creation of some of the internet's most important 'stuff' - most notably for me, IMDB, which has definitely become a staple part of any filmathon, am I right?

It's great to see the familiar medium in a different - back to basics - format, because, as I said, sometimes that's all you need! (And yes, before you ask, they do have an infographic pertaining to Notable Monkeys & other Apes, Chimps and Primates.)
