Lady Gaga meets FarmVille in GagaVille
Yesterday, the GagaDaily reported something very special for fans of Lady Gaga and FarmVille, and ‘filed under miscellaneous’ doesn’t quite cover it!
On the 17th of May, Lady Gaga and Zynga will unveil a special area in FarmVille, Gagaville, where fans will be able to unlock exclusive tracks from Gaga’s new album ‘Born This Way’, which is due for release 23rd of May. Though the exact details haven’t been released, there’s a strong possibility that the farm will be populated with unicorns and motorcycles – and if this isn’t enough to entice you, there’ll be crystals, as well.
Integrating brands in Farmville isn’t something new, as it was back in April 2010, that Mashable reported the first Farmville crop that had been linked directly to a brand. But it’s a mechanic in social media – and social gaming – that is becoming more prominent, as, more and more, consumers are expecting brands to go to them. And what better way for Lady Gaga to promote her new album…?
You can read a bit more about the campaign here on Mashable.
