Orange- Singing Tweetagrams

It seems that the Old Spice’s hit YouTube campaign has paved the way for more campaigns to take social media to the next level in personalised engagement. Orange is the latest brand to take on the concept.

The mobile phone network has created a Singing Tweetagrams campaign. Twitter users are invited to tweet messages for friends using #singingtweetagrams. Orange picks the best ones and sends them into to a studio where an accapella swing trio the Rockabellas are waiting to turn them into songs -within a few hours. Orange then uploads each song and tweets you with a link, so you can send it on to your friend.

Will Orange be able to keep up the pace set high by Old Spice’s efforts? Where more than 180 videos were produced in a matter of days, while responding instantaneously to Twitter users. The answer is probably not…but I like the idea non the less. Take a look below at the Youtube video of how the campagin works.
