Tracking your CV through the interwebs
Sending off your CV, I’ve found, is a bit like seeing your child off on their first day of school – I have no frame of reference for this, but I’m pretty good at assuming – you get that little ache, and can’t help but wonder whether everything is ok; Did it arrive safe? Has it been read? Has it even been opened?
I was recently made aware of a wonderful little tool that puts all these fears to rest. Trackmycv.com offer a free service, enabling you to track the movement of your CV down to opening time and IP location.
After a super-quick registration, you ‘add’ your CV – after which you are provided with a invisible, 1×1 pixel tracker that you insert anywhere in your document. All you have to worry about then is making sure the content is amazing, save, send and watch that critter fly!
